I didn’t heal in therapy. I healed in real life.
And now I help other women with BPD recover from borderline personality disorder and build the life they want.

I’m Jayne – founder of Her True Path and creator of The True Path BPD Recovery Method™.
But before that?
I was just a woman doing her best to survive.
Fostered. Adopted by a narcissist. Told my mum had been murdered. Lost my dad. Survived childhood abuse. Four marriages. Widowed by cancer.
And under it all: undiagnosed Borderline Personality Disorder. (BPD)
The fear. The rage. The abandonment panic. The emotional chaos. The shame.
It ruled everything. And I thought it always would.
When Healing Actually Began
I didn’t start healing in a therapy room.
I had therapy on and off for 20 years. It helped me understand myself. But it never changed the way I lived.
I didn’t even know I had BPD until a breakdown led me to a psychiatrist.
My real recovery? It began without me realising it was happening.
The Recovery That Changed Everything
It began with my late husband.
He didn’t enable me – he educated himself on BPD. He held firm boundaries. He didn’t collapse under my emotions. He didn’t give in to my panic.
And over time, something started to shift in me.
I started to realise: the feelings I was terrified of… didn’t kill me. He didn’t leave. He didn’t give in.
That consistency rewired my nervous system. His boundaries reshaped my reactions. And eventually, I stopped living in survival mode – without even realising it.
Looking back now, I can see exactly what changed. I can map the path.
And if I can do it? So can you.
The Moment Everything Changed
One afternoon, I was sat in the woods after locking my keys in the boot of my car.
I’d been rushing to back-to-back meetings for my successful home staging business. But something in me cracked.
I broke down. And in the quiet that followed, a voice inside me said
“This isn’t the life you were meant to live.”
That moment changed everything.
I made the decision to walk away from what I’d built. To sell my house. To move to France.
And to create a space for women like me.
Women who didn’t need another therapy session – they needed a way to actually change.
That's the day Her True Path was born.
I'm Not Your Typical Coach
I’m trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist. But I chose not to sit in that chair.
Because the clinical, diagnosis-led world never gave me what I needed.
I don’t want to help you "cope." I want to help you change.
I want to show you how to build emotional strength. How to rewire your responses. How to build a life you’re actually excited about.
The True Path BPD Recovery Method™
I took everything I learned – from my trauma, my recovery, my education, and my lived experience – and built something radically different.
A 12-month recovery roadmap. Real emotional tools. Daily structure. Coaching. Community. Personal responsibility.
Not a support group. Not a place to vent and stay stuck.
A full recovery method. Built on truth, not trends.
And it works – if you do.
Let’s Be Clear
This isn’t soft and cosy. This isn’t trauma quotes and validation without direction.
This is the truth about BPD. And the truth is this:
If you want a different life, you have to do things differently.
That’s what The Lounge is for. That’s why I created Her True Path.
And that’s why I do this work.
